Day Embettering Video of the Day: Our favorite scary lady in the whole wide world, Amanda Fucking Palmer, recently asked filmmaking friend Michael Pope to help her put together a video of her lip-dubbing Tegan and Sara’s latest single, “Hell,” while wandering the streets of Manhattan/Brooklyn and doing what she does best: Scaring the bejeezus out of passers-by.
Palmer says:
Some of the best parts of this experience are nowhere on the video… like the wonderful expressions and reactions on people’s faces that the camera didn’t catch. The guy in Union Square who bear-hugged me spontaneously was one of my favorites. Only in New York could you do something like this and be either ignored or celebrated. Anywhere else on the planet they’d be calling the men in little white coats. And the cops I followed and sang to didn’t even blink an eye. What nice cops!”
AFP lip-dubbing > anyone else doing anything else.

1/2 of the Dresden Dolls is outside of my dorm lip-syncing a Tegan and Sara song. You can literally see the words “University Hall” on the window next to her. Because that’s where I live. Also, Tegan and Sara are awesome, and Amanda Palmer is awesome. Awesome.
Oh my fucking god. Best thing ever!
…this looks like a lot of fun. And a lot of crazy.
Not sure it’s fair...“scary lady,” as she’s actually quite sweet in
also ninja assassin posters.
HAHAHA! What if someone recognized her though? “Hey you’re from the Dresden Dolls.” Or, “You’re the one who sang ‘What’s...
When worlds collide. Not only is this set to Tegan and Sara, but there are people waiting in line for a Dir en Grey...
